Group Benefits
Group health that keeps your team healthy and your budget intact.
Employer health insurance is a benefits program that provides medical, dental, vision, and voluntary coverage for your employees and often their families. As TWFG Insurance, we compare 300+ carriers and benefit administrators and benefit administrators to build fully-insured, level-funded, and voluntary programs that fit your headcount, your budget, and your workforce. We also handle the compliance, the renewal negotiation, and the HR paperwork, so you don't have to.

Coverage Highlights
What we build for your team
A benefits program is more than a medical plan. This is the full toolkit.
Core Medical Plans
ACA-compliant PPO, HMO, EPO, and high-deductible options paired with HSAs. We compare plan designs across every major Texas carrier.
Level-Funded and Self-Funded Alternatives
Premium stability, potential year-end refunds on unused claims, and more granular claims data than fully-insured plans provide.
Prescription and Telehealth Bundles
Lower drug costs and 24/7 virtual care that employees actually use.
Dental and Vision
Standalone or bundled with medical. Real networks, not paper networks.
Voluntary Benefits Menu
Accident, critical illness, short-term and long-term disability, hospital indemnity, and life insurance that employees elect through payroll deduction, at no cost to the employer.
Group Life and AD&D
Basic employer-paid coverage plus voluntary buy-up options.
HSA, FSA, and HRA Administration
Setup, funding strategy, and vendor selection.
Section 125 Cafeteria Plans
Compliance, plan documents, and payroll tax savings.
Multi-State and Remote Workforce
Carrier networks that follow your employees wherever they work.
Why TWFG Insurance
Why Employers Pick TWFG Insurance
Broker relationships fail quietly: slow quotes, missed deadlines, no advocacy at renewal. Our process is built against all three.
Real quotes in days, not weeks
Side-by-side cost and plan comparisons from multiple carriers, formatted so you and your team can actually make sense of them.
Compliance concierge
We stay on top of ACA reporting, ERISA wrap documents, Section 125 rules, COBRA administration, and Medicare integration, so your HR person isn't researching regulations at midnight.
Renewal season without the shock
We start your renewal 90 to 120 days out, benchmark it against the market, and negotiate with the carrier before you're forced into a rushed decision.
Wellness and engagement programs
Data-driven initiatives that lower claims and boost participation. A plan employees actually use is a plan that renews better.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Group benefits FAQ
The questions employers ask most, answered without jargon.
One hundred twenty days before your renewal date is ideal. That gives us time to market the group, review multiple options, and negotiate with your existing carrier before you're forced into a decision. Inside sixty days, we can still help, but options narrow.
In a fully-insured plan, you pay a fixed monthly premium and the carrier assumes all claims risk. In a level-funded plan, you also pay a fixed monthly amount, but part of it funds a claims account. If claims come in under budget, you may receive a refund at year-end. Level-funded plans can save healthier groups 10% to 25%, with somewhat more paperwork and modest year-over-year variability.
Most carriers require at least two eligible employees to write a group plan in Texas. Some carriers also have participation-percentage requirements.
We help clients understand what they're required to file (1094-C and 1095-C) and coordinate with payroll providers or dedicated ACA vendors on the mechanics. For groups over fifty full-time equivalents, this matters.
Yes. Accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and disability plans can all run on a voluntary, employee-paid basis. The employer offers them, the employee elects them, and premiums come out of payroll. Zero cost to the business.
Yes. We place plans with carriers whose networks cover your employees wherever they live and work, and we can layer in telehealth-first designs that suit remote teams.
