The Beginning
From a one-person operation to something legendary
We weren't born from a big corporation. TWFG Insurance started in 2017 as a one-person operation in Royse City. Late nights. Bold decisions. A relentless drive to protect what mattered most to our first clients.

Word travelled. Referrals turned into renewals. Renewals turned into families we've now served through home purchases, business launches, added children on policies, and everything else life brings. Today we serve individuals, families, and businesses across Rockwall County and well beyond, with customized coverage, real relationships, and a team that's as invested in your future as you are. Licensed in Texas and multiple states, we go wherever our clients need us. We aren't just writing policies. We're building something that lasts.

2001
TWFG founder Gordy opens the first TWFG office days before 9/11, committed to putting caring back into insurance.
2005 – 2015
Double-digit annual growth. TWFG tops the Texas personal-lines rankings.
2017
TWFG Insurance opens its doors as a one-person operation in Royse City, TX.
2023
TWFG grows to 450+ branches across 18 states and 1,800+ independent agents serving 40 states.
2024 – Today
TWFG Insurance opens a second office in Lewisville, TX, expanding commercial, contractor, and group-health practices beyond Rockwall County.
